It is important for our Deck Officers to get familiarized with the updated navigation information system that compliant with International Maritime Organization. As the world is getting less paperless and more computerized, the navigation information system is also turn to a computer-based system.
We trained our deck officers to learn about the Transas ECDIS NAVI Sailor 4000, a system that display the information from Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) and integrates position information from Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), gyrocompass, speed log, other navigational sensor, radar, and Automatic Identification System (AIS).
